Ingredients For A Fabulous Life
raising the bar on life, one post at a time...
Creamy and dreamy White Chocolate Dalmatian Mousse. So delicious with a little tang from some cream cheese, and it gets its Dalmatian “spots” from pieces of dark chocolate. I’ve double-downed on the chocolatey goodness, and it turned out fabulously!
This is as simple as it gets. Not one egg. No fuss. No muss, well okay, a little mess must be made to make this fabulous White Chocolate Dalmatian Mousse!
Many mousse recipes have eggs in them, and that means more steps and more fussing with the recipe. I especially like this recipe because it literally has 7 ingredients, and two of them are chocolate! Now that’s a recipe I can love – over and over again!
Although you can’t really call this a “no-cook” recipe, the only real cooking is melting the chocolate in the microwave! Beyond that, whipping the heavy cream is about the toughest part of this recipe. You’ll do that first and pop it into the refrigerator to wait to be folded into the chocolate and sugar mixture.
The great thing about this recipe is the tang the White Chocolate Dalmatian Mousse gets from its cream cheese base. I love the extra body and flavor it lends to the finished mousse. The cream cheese also allows us not to use any eggs – Yeah!
Now I want to caution you. Despite using room temperature cream cheese, the mousse may not come together well when you’re folding in the whipped cream. If that’s the case, just use your mixer to beat it just a little bit until it comes together. Then you can continue to gently fold the mousse until it’s well combined.
Of course, you’ll probably want to eat it “straight” the first time you make White Chocolate Dalmatian Mousse. I can’t even manage to get it all into the serving dishes without a few little tastes “accidently” ending up inside my mouth!
But I want to show you how I used it this particular time. Check out this fabulous showstopper dessert recipe!
You’ll find the printable recipe card for White Chocolate Dalmatian Mousse at the bottom of this post.
For this Father’s Day I wanted to create a fabulous showpiece dessert featuring my hubby’s favorite fruit, bananas.
But since bananas are available all year long, this dessert can adorn your holiday or party table any season of the year. It’s a festive recipe that’s certainly fit for any and all special occasions.
Frozen Coffee Banana Torte is a riff on the classic Tiramisu, except that it’s frozen and doesn’t use lady fingers. It features my special version of Sweet and Dark Coffee Syrup that’s generously brushed on slices of purchased pound cake to be layered with coffee ice cream, banana slices, and this fabulous White Chocolate Dalmatian Mousse.
Then I couldn’t resist “gilding the lily” by adding a fabulous Glossy Mocha Glaze!
