It’s a match made in heaven. The salty, earthy flavors of Truffled Popcorn perfectly complement a lovely non-vintage bottle of bubbly.

And, who can resist the crunch of popcorn that’s been tossed with truffle oil and grated Italian cheeses?
Not myself, or my guests! Truffled Popcorn and Champagne? Talk about fancy New Year’s Eve snack food!
Truffled Popcorn kicks off this party’s black and white Harlequin theme with a bang when served in fabulous patterned paper cones.
These stylish place mats from Faux Designs on Amazon are made from a nice card stock quality paper that’s perfect for crafting and DIY projects.
I had only used three sheets from the pad of 25, and was keen to use more of the harlequin patterned mats. It occurred to me that if I cut the 11″ x 17″ place mats in half, I could make two cones from the 8 1/2″x 11″ sheets. Now I was cooking with gas!
Now it was time to figure out how to serve the Truffled Popcorn and Champagne Duo to my guests.
I had ordered some cute glass jars with cork lids and saved the soft foam insert protecting the contents.
It’s a habit to put aside any items I think might be useful for DIY entertaining or decor repurposing. Much to my husband’s disdain, I’m afraid!
Check out how I used some bits and pieces to display my Truffled Popcorn!
Running layered lengths of white ruffled and black/white striped ribbons along the edges gives the display a “tuxedo shirt” effect.
The ribbons are attached with black-headed straight pins to emulate “button studs” and make everything easily removable and reusable. No adhesive was used at all!
The whole display is propped up with empty champagne bottles that I spray painted metallic silver and gold to match the party decor. They’re in there somewhere! You can see one of the bottles in this image. Didn’t it come out pretty?
I tucked in a few pieces of shiny black tissue paper to make a dramatic backdrop for the Harlequin patterned cones. Doesn’t the Truffled Popcorn look fabulous in their “scrap” packaging display?
It’s one of my personal and professional catering secrets to fabulous and fun parties! When I’m conceptualizing a theme party’s decor and components, it’s my go-to first step.
Asking myself, what do I have on hand that I can use, repurpose or just plain up-cycle?
In this particular case, it’s a piece of foam packaging. In another instance, I used an urn that “looked Grecian” enough for the centerpiece of my Greek Dinner Party tablescape.
It’s a mindset that saves tons of money and unleashes my creativity when doing my entertaining planning.
A sophisticated combination of Black Truffle Oil and freshly grated Asiago and Parmesan cheeses make Truffled Popcorn super delicious.
Using a little fresh Italian parsley and chives gives a dash a color and some extra “wow-factor” too.
Now, how will you greet your guests on New Year’s Eve to start the night off with a bang?
Why not hand them some Truffled Popcorn and Champagne that you’ve set up in the foyer? You’ll love the look on their faces as you take their coat. They’ll be staring hungrily at your gorgeous display that gets the good times rolling for a fun-filled evening!
If you do nothing else to celebrate this New Year’s Eve, try making this great snack for yourself, and celebrate in style!
