Spring Vegetable Platter with Ham Butter

Total Time: 15 minutes

This simple, yet visually stunning appetizer platter is fabulous for the Spring holiday season. Ham "butter" is perfect slathered on a crispy variety of colorful vegetables. Add this simple, yet elegant appetizer to your Easter or Mother's Day menu! The ham spread can be made up to 48 hours before serving.

Ingredients

  • 10 oz. smoked ham, diced
  • 1 Tbs. honey
  • 1 1/2 Tbs. hot sauce
  • 2 tsp. Worchestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbs. Dijon mustard
  • 6 Tbs. unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream, more if needed
  • Salt to taste
  • Assorted fresh Spring vegetables for dipping (blanched if necessary)

Instructions

  1. Combine all the ingredients EXCEPT for cream and salt in the bowl of a food processor. Pulse a few times to combine. Add 1/4 heavy cream and process until smooth. If the mixture is too dry, add more heavy cream, up to 1/3 cup total. Taste and adjust seasoning.
  2. CAN BE KEPT CHILLED UP TO 48 HOURS BEFORE SERVING .
